I made my escape from Southern California almost 20 years ago, when I bought a house the very first weekend I ever visited North Fork. I moved up here full-time four months later. My stint at ECCO began in August, 2000, when I replaced my oldest, dearest friend as ECCO's program and Elderhostel coordinator.
I love Yosemite, and it's a real blessing to be able to introduce Elderhostel guests to its splendors via our exciting classes, field trips and outstanding instructors. In addition I'm privileged to administer other ECCO programs including our annual Opera at Oakhurst and Thanksgiving Celebrations, and it's awesome to be able to welcome returning guests-who've become friends-year after year. But my real claim-to-fame is being Douglas Fur's secretary in our monthly Echoes from ECCO newsletter.
I have two grown daughters--one who still lives down south and another who lives a mile from me along with her husband and my only grandson. I love to read, write, travel and hike, especially in Yosemite's high country and the Eastern Sierras. I never met a mountain I didn't like.
